  • This festival is devoted to the goddess Parvati and is mainly celebrated by women and girls.
  • Women pray to the goddess for the health of their husbands and the joy of their family life.
  • The Teej Festival is a significant festival for married women and a much-anticipated monsoon event.
  • This is dedicated to the celebration of the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
  • There are 3 types of the Teej festival, namely Hariyali, Kajari and Hartalika Teej.
  • In 2020, Haryali Teej is on July 23, Kajari Teej on August 6, and Hartalika Teej on August 21.
  • This comes in the month of Shravana or Sawan and Bhadrapada or Bhado, which corresponds to the Indian monsoon season of July, August and September.
  • This festival is celebrated in different places, but primarily in Jaipur, Rajasthan. A royal procession of Teej Mata on a palanquin winds through the lanes of the city.

By Air

By Bus

  • When you are looking for a budget trip, taking a bus to Jaipur is a pocket friendly and very easy plan.
  • Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) runs daily.
  • There is daily bus service from not only Delhi but also from other towns such as Kota, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Vadodara and Ajmer.
